Claude Duet is a research preview from Anthropic in which an AI agent keeps working on assigned tasks while the user is away. According to The Decoder, it runs on a cloud virtual machine with a browser, connects to services such as Gmail, Slack, Stripe, Docusign and Shopify, sends a morning summary and contacts the user only when something needs attention.
Duet can read, draft and prepare on its own; it asks for approval before it sends a message, makes a payment, signs a document or deletes anything. Trading securities and moving money between accounts are blocked. Access is by waitlist for Pro and Max subscribers in the US.
